Accessibility Statement
We want everyone who visits the Independence Foundation website to feel welcome and to find the experience rewarding. As part of this ambition, Independence Foundation is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for anyone with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience and applying relevant accessibility standards.
What are we doing?
To help make the Independence Foundation website a positive experience for everyone, we have been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, which explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level A as the target for the Independence Foundation website.
We have also taken the following measures to ensure accessibility:
- Images have the appropriate alternative text.
- Our site is fully functional using a keyboard alone.
- Our site is compatible with modern screen readers.
Conformance status
The Independence Foundation site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level A. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are working hard to achieve and maintain our goal of Level A accessibility; we realize, however, that there are still some areas that need improvement. We will prioritize those issues that have the highest impact for most users.
